How can I start my AMV?

Post by Grilo » Wed Oct 15, 2014 8:44 pm

First: which way is better to get the video?
a) Recording
b) Extracting
for me: probably, recording 10 seconds, three times per episode (for example)

Second: what I need to do after get the video(s)?
a) synchronize the video with the music (sony vegas, probably) ~> Add effects (adobe after effects)
b) Effects ~> synchronize
for me: probably is the first way

But... my reason line is right? Or I need to make something (or all) different?

Thanks for some help :)

Best way to get started on how to prepare footage is to refer to some guides that will explain how to best prepare your videos to maintain the quality. I would recommend the AMV 101 Guide on the PixelBlended website as it should provide you with up to date information on how to handle various types of video sources.

It's probably best to edit the video then add effects, this way you don't waste time on effects that you may need to cut later and they can be better synchronized to the audio as well.
