Sony Vegas won't open my project files...

My computer had recently crashed, and I got it fixed but I lost all of my programs including my Sony Vegas 9. So I re-installed an updated version of Vegas 9.0 and now it won't open my old project files. I guess I originally had Vegas 9.0b and now I have Vegas 9.0d. Every time I try to open up one of my old projects it just stops loading and says, "Not Responding" at the top.

Is there anything I can do about this??

Have you tried loading up the backup files? It'll look something like this: project_name.veg.bak
