also, when it crashes and i re-open it, i open up my video and everything on the timeline is scrunched together...
Any1 know why :?:

Ok, did you know what kind of video codec inside of .avi or others contain format? if not get this then install it of course after that go on the video you want to edit and right click go in gspot and it will show up the info you need to know.

So if the video containing DivX/Xvid get it here also I know that will works fine to me ^^;; be sure the wmm are not stuff much of video inside sometime it does that too ^^;; Tell me more if you got crashing again ;)

uhhh, disregard all of this.
convert your divx or w/e to huffyuv with virtualdubmod. edit with that.
i suggest you rip your own footage and readdfag though

now.... now.. now... your being all the time of my ass. How pathetic you are that sometimes I gave you a look "_"?

I'm helping him here to the easiest thing bout WMM since i got not much hard time on Dvix right now. Rude and high standard to urself are really look idiots to me so stop bugging on my ass, ok! Get ur originality

BJR yeah still on some point of view he got right though if you have virtualdubmod you can but if not try what I say on my previous post. It's up to you if you want program of vdubmod to work with it but much lot of work to what I say "_", only my suggestion to you.

you need to goto the previous page and read the long copypasta.

and before someone jumps in with "well i don't get any of those problems":
during my very brief experience with WMM, i edited with xvid footage. i most specifically recall these 2 problems:

* Frames being displayed out of order.
* Smearing, blocking, and other types of video artifacts.

Exactly, just because it hasn't happened to you (yet) doesn't mean it won't. It used to happen all the time to me back when I used wmm. :/ But I got over being a lazy shit and just did as the guides said. the guides wouldn't lie to you for the hell of it.

2 videos when i first got into the hobby.

Does this mean WMM gets more stable the more vids you make with it? I like that.

No. The worst time I ever had on WMM was during my 2nd video, everytime I switched out of the timeline view it crashed. I was using like 20 meg fansubs then though. It's stayed pretty tolerable with every single vid I've done though.

did ya click the link or read minion's quote of what is said on the page?

kikai_saigono wrote:Exactly, just because it hasn't happened to you (yet) doesn't mean it won't.

or it hasnt happened to other people...

I had issues all the time with DIVX files in Windows Movie Maker (because thats what i was using when i first started) - first 5 videos to be exact...

the codec is unstable and just unsuited (lossy) for editing... :/ deal

DivX gives me a lot of trouble as well, but Xvid is just perfect on mine. Gives me no problems at all.

when i first started on wmm i made two kinds of videos
1. amvs made from fansubs
2. videos of my family from files made from my digital camera

now which type gave me trouble and which one didnt?

looking back, i never had an issue making music videos of footage i took with my digital camera, but amvs gave me all sorts of hell because i was using downloaded fansubs....

XVID is a compatable codec with DIVX as was said before JUST BECAUSE YOU DONT HAVE TROUBLE WITH IT DOESNT MEAN THAT OTHERS WONT HAVE TROUBLE WITH IT....

infact Lagarith with no sound works perfectly fine on my wmm...

And yet to you have to tell EVERYONE not to do it, even when it doesn't do anything to them. With that stupid gif.
