Won´t install!

Post by westcrazy » Thu Apr 12, 2007 9:25 pm

I download it from Download.com and then i look for the file, double click on it, it says it installed, but it is not anywhere to be found.

I also downloaded it from Limewire but the same thing happened.

I'm honnestly not sure what you are talking about.... downloaded what? footage or the program?
You know it's against the forum rules to ask about illegally downloaded 'stuff'

Since WMM is free that's ok.

But Go buy the dvd's! (of course if it isn't licenced.... that's another story)
which brings me to: Go buy the CD's!Image
And back to the same question... what are you talking about?

psst when you install a program you get to pick where it goes... so what path did you pick... if you are not sure go to 'my computer' doucle click the drive it usually goes to and then hit seach like this:

or you can always do this:

and put it whaere you want it next time you install

I downloaded it and put it in Program Files. It is like a folder with a CD coming out of it. I double click and it says it installed and everything, and then I look for it and nothing.

If you're using XP you probably had wmm 1.0 already installed. If so, when you double click the 2.0 version it replaces the original - it doesn't install a new copy.

Go to the start menu and click "all programs," "accessories" and "entertainment." If you had a copy of wmm originally, it should have been linked in the entertainment folder in the start menu, right under windows media player.
