no, now that you have the proper codec, you should be able to re-encode your footage with vdubmod

You're right. The file will play now, both audio and video. Now to figure out what to do next. I use Vdub to make a... huffyuv? And I import that into WMM? ::looks for button:: Okay, the change button is pressable now...

VirtualDub Program Failure

Oops -- Virtualdub has crashed. Details are listed below which may help you pinpoint the problem. If a third party is implicated, try using another driver and see if the problem goes away. For reproducible problems in VirtualDub itself, use "Save..." and email the problem report to <phaeron> along with a description of what you were doing.

Woah. I try to X out, and a whole bunch of numbers come up-

Crash reason: Invalid handle

VirtualDub has crashed due to a program error

Please hit Save to dump diagnostic information to a file called crashinfo.txt in the VirtualDub Program directory, and then OK to bring up the normal crash box. Click Help for more details.

Okay, I tried it again... Re-made this avi file thing using the script...

Tried importing it into WMM, WMM had to close.

Tried to play it in WMP, Windows Explorer had to close.

Tried to play it in RealPlayer, RealPlayer had to close.

It also took a something like 40 meg avi file and turned it into a 1 gig file! I can't actually tell how big the original file was because Windows Explorer keeps closing every time I look at an avi.

If the .avi is what? Is that huffyuv? and how did you set up the huffyuv when you saving the file?

It does happen this to me before, If I'm not mistaken after your saving the clips from Vdub your trying to import that in WMM, am I right? You can import the clips in wmm but there specific length wmm allowing and if you set up your clips before you saving it as avi sure it works and play.

Just want to be sure if you use huffyuv when your saving your file :?

Hope this will work for you

1. Go to your Video > Select Video Compression > click Huffyuv

2. Click the Configure

3. Another window appear Check the box it says > Always suggest RGB output, then your set and try to import that in WMM.
