I am trying to recreate the sing-a-long style txt effect found in The AMV Before Halloween.
video: http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... hp?v=52347
The only trouble I'm having is getting the picture I'm using (the bouncing ball/skull) to look as smooth as theirs. I got the text to appear and disappear with no trouble, but I'm stuck on this.
Using After Affects CS4.
Thanks for any help.

Re: Sing A Long style after effects (the bouncing ball)
What do you mean by smooth? Do you mean the motion? If you want more smooth motion, then you can select the keyframes and press F9. That make the moving smoother. But if you are talking about the image that will bounce, then you simply need the high quality image, whether it's skull or anything else. Also some images might loose quality when you down-scale them. So if the image you are suing is too large, that might ruin the quality. Hope thus help, but if I misunderstood your question, then tell me and I might be able to help. Good luck.

If i only knew then what i knew now.
IT looks as mouth as it did because we keyed thas ish like every 3 or 4 frames.
all you really have to do it make your path and tweek your keyframes.
play with the motion, motion blur effect.
to go from right to left you could toggle the old keyframe to flip to the other side and not leave a trail.
also check to see what motion the path is taking, linear or archlike.
It was do fun makeing that thing bounce ill tell you that much
