Adobe Premier Pro CS3 disappearing clips

I recently opened up an AMV .proj and found that around half of my clips were missing from the sequence. I was just working on this Project the other day with no issues. All the clips that I added that day, as well as a few other random ones are still there, but the good majority of video time in the sequence is gone. The footage itself is still embedded in the Project, and visible on the Project file list with no issues.
I'm really hoping there's some sort of auto-backup or something I can revert to, or some other trick to getting back my footage.
I'm capable of just redoing the whole thing, of course... but that's a lot of work, and means a lot of time down the toilet.

If anyone feels the need to tell me I should have backed it up elsewhere... thanks in advance for not.
