AE Upgrade?

AE Upgrade?

I've been fiddling with my AE 6.5 Standard for a couple of years now but I've recently decided that I would like to upgrade since I've got a better computer to run the program.

Now here is where I'm kinda stuck. I wanna upgrade if possible since I do not feel like shelling out $1000 for the damn thing. According to Adobe.com, If you have AE 6.5 Standard, you can upgrade to CS4 (and the earlier if you can find an upgrade version). But mine is from the Adobe Video Collection Standard. Does anyone know if I'll be able to use the upgrade or am I SOL?

P.S. As far as I know, it is NOT and educational version.
