Hi I'm a new member and I would like to ask if there's a way to put a mp3 file onto the timeline. I was reading the guide provided by adobe premiere (f1) and it does indeed says it supports mp3 files. Any clues how to use mp3 on premiere?
I've been able to import MP3s into Premiere without any problem. What version are you using? Although you SHOULD use WAV files if you are going to edit with Premiere or any other NLE.
Is the file CBR or VBR? I can't remember which, but I've seen one be rejected by some NLE's before. You might try to change it with Besweet or something.

so in conclusion, always look to both sides of the road before crossing it.
And oh yeah, you'll probably want to convert your mp3 to wav for editing (besweetGUI can do that)
