Hi,
I have a tricky one I'm hoping someone has an idea about. I have a project that is 24fps (edited from the IVTC'd DV capture that was stored in a Picvideo MJPEG AVI file, under 2GB so that it would fit in Premiere - yes, this was started a long time ago.) There appears to have been something wrong with my current setup, as Premiere didn't like my first attempt at replacing the file with the AVS frame server. Having selected the original DV file and then accidentally saved the file when closing Premiere, I'm now unable to replace this file with anything else. I am told, "The media type of the file is different from that of the missing or offline file. Press OK to select a file with the correct media type, or Cancel to skip the file."
Note that at this point the main clip is 29.97 fps, but the video settings and the general timebase are all set for exactly 24fps.
I have tried to walk around this by converting the project to 29.97 fps in DV mode, with a view to redoing the IVTC as best I can afterward. This has worked, but there is a drift with regard to the original clip that gets as long as 50 frames by the later parts of the timeline. Serendipity notwithstanding, I'd like the original to work.
Any ideas?
