adobe premiere image problem

Postby Wickydoo » Mon Jun 25, 2007 10:26 pm

I'm using Adobe Premiere Pro 7.0 to make my amv with. But during the process of doing some lip syncing, I've found this problem that is noticable. I've read part 2 of the lip sync guide posted on this site but the results came out like this:

Mouth without an outline

Mouth with an outline shown

Examine VERY closely around the mouth, you will see an outline.
The outline of the mouth doesn't blend in with the video. It shows up in the preview window and in exported videos. What can I do to get the mouth to blend in?

It looks like you did a cutout of the mouth and tried to overlay the image, that's fine but I think your cutout has an opacity on it. I suspect Photoshop, make sure opacity is 100% before you cut out.

Just an assumption.

What format did you import the graphic in? I suggest TIFF or lossless PNG; I'm fairly sure both of those support full alpha channels (not like GIF, where each pixel has to be either fully opaque or fully transparent).

Also, I suggest always making mouth cutouts as rectangles: make all the lines exactly vertical or horizontal. Premiere Pro seems to handle those properly.

... and once again, there is no such thing as "Adobe Premiere Pro 7.0". They haven't even gotten past Pro (CS)3 yet.

The format of the mouth cutout is Photoshop (*psd).
Ok, i'll make rectangle cutouts.
And i'll call it adobe premiere pro from now on.
