adobe premiere pro v2

when i import my vidoe files into adobe premiere pro v2 its all spotty
like movie file is in .mpg format
and when i play it looks and sounds like a double take really fast through the whole thing
do i need to change the format of the files?

It would help (you mostly) if you told us what files you are trying to import. The general term "video files" provides absolutely no information whatsoever. Be more specific please.

Where do you play them? In Premiere? Another media player? And do you mean your original files or something you exported from premiere?

i stated that the moive files were in .mpg format
. . . the word 'like' was a mistype
and its when i play them in premiere
and they are original files

In that case I must apologise :oops: hope I did not offend you :)

Premiere does not support mpg editing as far as I know... besides take a look at this.

You will have to convert your videos in something else (preferably lossless avis)
or you can use an avisynth script and import the avs files into premiere
