And where could I find a place who explains (to rookie) how to use AE?

I doubt it since Sony and Adobe are two different companies. And you CAN do some of the stuff available in AE in Vegas so I don't see why you would need both.

Well, the most impressive visuals effets are from AE, though.

True... in a way. Most of the stuff In AE IMO are unecessary for AMVs. How can you incorporate Particle World or some of the other CC effects? Most people use masking which can be done in Vegas but many use Photoshop for more accurate editing.

But in regards to integration, you can't. You would need to create your effects in AE and render out a lossless AVI file and then import that into Vegas and vice versa.

Wow... didn't know that. I'm still trying to get it to work on a clip. Got it to do it one time and been messing up since. :?
