As far as I'm concerned, getting rid of A/B was a <i>good</i> thing, because now you can put video transitions on <i>any</i> video track, not just Video 1. But that's just me.

I can't believe I just found this now after 3+ years of using this program:
Click the little triangle button on the preview monitor (NOT the source monitor; they have different menus) and select "New Reference Monitor". Then make the original monitor window just the source monitor in Single View. Presto, you've got your separate monitors.
