Converting to full screen to widescreen specific question

Postby keyboardsamurai » Fri Feb 23, 2007 6:49 pm

I am using adobe premiere pro 2.0

I am apart of the Nights in Fantasia and need to convert one of my videos to widescreen.

I've followed another tutorial from google, but it didn't work.

Here's what i've tried.

Imported video, dragged to video timeline.

note: (I selected 640x480 widescreen dv ntsc as default project settings).

Once the vid is on the timeline I right clicked and clicked Fit to Scale, saved, and exported. According to the other guide, this should have done the trick.

Here's an extra catch.

80% of my video is already in widescreen with the letterboxe's. The other 20% is full screen and I am looking for a way to convert the whole thing (without cutting up scene's and re splicing) to widescreen.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

as always

Thanks In Advance

(hey at least I spelled thanx and not thx)

This is essentially what you'll have to do if you want correct picture geometry. This probably means also cropping the full screen segments, but without seeing the video, I can't be sure.

I guess after I finish up my current project(s), I'll get to work on my planned aspect ratio guide...

problem solved...

I used the guide on this page if anyone is wondering.

I decided to REMOVE the bars instead of trying to add them.. Much easier and quicker..
