As for the reselect and deselect ect... It worked. Thanks a ton. I only wish they made stuff like this more noticeable. I went through the help files all day trying to see if you could do it in one fell swoop.

To be more precise, There is not much difference between the two programs when it comes to the basics. Most of the advanced stuff you can do in Premiere Pro is not ultimately necessary to AMVs when you first start out. As the guide is titles, its a NOOBs Guide meaning it's intened to help ease nOObs into the program and get them rolling, not give them everything about the product.
