Making AMV with After Effects

...I'm curious...about how people make AMVs with After Effects...cause it has lots of rendering and I also want to know do people first make AMV in Premiere Pro and then do the Composting in After Effects....I have both of the softwares...

Well in most cases AE is used for creating scenes/cuts with more complex effects than those used in Premiere, more to the specific side. I would find it extremely hard to make a whole video in AE due to my comp settings and AE's abilities.

Making an AMV entirely in AE is possible and has been done in the past (cfr: "" and "")... but it's generally better to make the single complex scene you need AE for in it and import those in premiere later on, or alternatively do your basic editing in premiere, then import the project in ae and finish it there.
