General Ripping Help (And a little more)

Postby wawhoo » Sat Oct 10, 2009 3:30 pm

Okay, so I've been working up to make AMVs for awhile, but this is my first project I plan to put a lot of time and effort into. I know there are guides on how to do what I'm about to ask, but I'll explain why I'm still asking after I ask.

Currently, I have the complete DVD set of Witchblade on legit DVDs and I'm looking to rip them so I can use them for an AMV. I followed Zarx's video guide and when it came to the end, the quality of the video had been degraded from where I started. I'm looking to rip and deinterlace as the highest possible quality.

Any advice to be offered? Right now I have the AMVapp programs.

You need to figure out at what point it was that the quality became degraded, and let us know what you did there.

If what you mean is that the quality became downgraded upon converting the dvd files to a lossless avi, mind posting your avisynth script? That's most probably what's at fault, unless you used some other codec besides lagarith/huffy.
