Ive finished my AMV, now what do I do? :P

The fact that it's HD probably has something to do with it. If left uncompressed, each 1280x720 frame should take 2.67 times the space of a 720x480 frame (if I've done my math correctly). So if you encoded the file at a non-HD resolution, you might get a file more like 60 MB... theoretically.

You can always force XviD to use a lower bitrate (or lower target bitrate if you're doing a VBR mode). The encoder should have a bitrate calculator that gives you the bitrate you'd need for a given file size.

but.....the source video has it in HD. And they have it 450Mb for a half hour episode 0_0

Why cant I have it at the same quality and have it at the same ration, ie. 450 = 24 mins (episode length), then 4 mins = 75Mb at max

What happens if I lower the bit rate? What do I sacrifice?

Thanks

So I guess Ill just drag that bar near the top? Reduce the quality for a smaller file size? But the thing is, Im unwilling to sacrifice quality T_____T

Well, for one thing, your video probably has more action than a raw episode. AMVs generally do. The more motion you have in the video, the less compressible it is.

If you want to make your video more compressible, you should take a look at filtering it with AVISynth going into the encode.

Of course, you could always encode at a lower resolution...
