How can I get gameplay footage from video games on xbox 360?

Postby ultimateX021 » Mon Aug 03, 2009 10:33 pm

Hello.

I checked a post about ripping video games from 360 and it looks like I can only get some cutscenes mainly online, but what about the gameplay?

What can I use or try to get gameplay footage. I've seen videos on youtube showing actual gameplay footage, but I don't know how they did that. Any suggestions?

Yeah I wanted to do the same thing with DMC4 but I'm not gonna buy me a Dazzle until I can get some money.
But yeah what Aaron said.

A Dazzle is some video capture card or recorder, right?

I forgot to ask this question:

What do you mean by "audio/video splitters"?

You talking about video and audio editing programs or something else?

I'm going to assume he means Y-cables to split the A/V signals coming from the XBOX, or at least the V part of A/V, so that you can send it to both the TV and the capture card simultaneously.

Oh I see. Thanks for the information.

Well, the good news is that I found a tutorial on youtube that shows how to use a dazzle capture card with audio and video splitters to make the video. It will definitely come in handy when I get a laptop because I would need to move the Xbox 360 to my desktop computer in another room. :P
