Sources of AMV Clips

Alrite,
So I'm a rookie at the art of making amvs. I have been watching many of them, so I have some knowledge of the do's and don'ts for how to make a successful amv. I feel comfortable with using sony vegas as well. I only have one issue, I do not have any DVDs of anime or [MOD 403: Redacted] for my amvs. I have came up with what audio I will use as well as what clips to use in my first upcoming amv, featuring code geass.
[MOD 403: Redacted]
I'm not a competitive amv maker, and don't need amazing quality. I was thinking of using some sort of "computer screen recorder" (whatever they are called), and record the clips I need from the episodes bandai have uploaded onto youtube.
So please share your thoughts with me, o great amv makers. :o

x2 with Soup
either record the stuff on yt or whatever
I'm not even sure if some people would even agree with that method.
Not many people will help you with this, your just going to be told to buy the DVDs otherwise don't edit.
Its a big :nono: to DL anime so your nobody will tell you where to DL anime.

Just to get this over with, buy the DVDs if your really serious about editing
and refer to the AMVApp for all your necessities.

Yeah.
That's just about all anyone will tell you on this site for questions like that.

Yeah, I know this is probably a big no-no.
I'll see to it if I can really get the DVDs, but for some "reasons" =], i dun think i can get a hold of them or if i do, for a while.
I've already got plans for 3 different amvs, timing out all the stuff, writing all the clips i want to use right next to the different lyrics/music.
So in other words, if i can just get a hold on these amv clips, I believe that I can make some decent amvs.
I'm just kinda feeling troubled with the fact that i can't get started with the editing/effects, and get it published.
ah well, thx for your help guys.

P.S. @Zarxrax: If I do get the DVDs, it will be just for you. qq no more =3
