Need a bit help with taking care of some bad dark spots on my Ghost in The Shell footage 720p.
What filters are recommended for making this look sexier?

There's some nasty gradienting, but it is probably caused by the vdubmod preview, seems to look nice otherwise.

Spatial smoothers work well on those kinds of things. It works even better if you add a bit of warping.

Careful not to damage edges everywhere else in the video though. Find a plugin you like and then mess with its settings till its the way you want it.
"The people cannot be [...] always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to [...] the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to public liberty. What country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned [...] that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants."-Thomas Jefferson

You'll need to go into Options->Preferences and change the option for 'Output color depth' to 24-bit.

If that still doesn't fix it, then take a look at the gradfun2db filter.
