You're absolutely right, of course. WarpSharp is extremely evil and should only be used when absolutely necessary. It doesn't improve the quality on 95% of the material out there and that's a conservative guess. People will nonetheless continue to use it regardless of this topic, simple because a) it sharpens the image and they don't care it causes a massive destruction of detail too, and b) it's mentioned in the big guide, so it must be an awesome all-round filter even though the guide says it should be used very carefully. Much like with Deen and vmToon, fighting against WarpSharp is a hopeless battle.
