*sorry for the triple post ;_;

Yeah um... this is starting to piss me off. I can't even render my work (not to mention that I can't export it properly either)

Well, if anyone would like to point out the glaringly obvious flaw in my judgement, please feel free to do so.

Thanks, and uh... AMVapps can just go die, I don't know how many times it made me cry trying to get it working ;_;

*Oh God, the shame... for me to have to resort to quad-posting...

I removed a whole bunch of movies off my HDD, and then tried to render again. What do ya know? It was a memory problem (though I still had around 3gb left, which in retrospect probably wasn't enough)

That aside, I rendered it as HUFFyuv, resulting in a 997mb file (yay) with this problem:
Image

Yeah, talk about interlacing issues O.o

However, it has nothing to do with the source footage, which I would show you, if only the cursed screen dump let me.

I exported the other one as Indeo video 5.10 like the one in your screendump, resulting in footage with better quality (no interlacing apparent) but, for some reason it won't go fullscreen.

I would double click it, and it just goes blank. Yet it plays perfectly fine at default size. Beats me. The file size ended up as 82mb, which is still huge (considering the video is a mere 2:30 minutes.

What to do... what to do...

that pic resolution is a bit funny and might be the problem - i think the resolution numbers need to be mod16 for best results so maybe try 640x368 - also check the fields option when exporting is set correctly

I made sure the fields were correct before exporting. I based the resolution off "Magic Pad" which ran a 640x360 res (16:9 aspect ratio)

What's mod16 btw?

Also, my friend said the problem of my video dissapearing could be fixed by restarting my computer, though I'm not sure how true this is, I guess I'll see in the morning eh.

its the fact that most resolutions need to be divisible by 16.

Hmm thanks, but 640x360 should be fine, since Magic Pad plays fullscreen at that res, or does he mean my source footage isn't working with the new resolution?

Ok, now I would just like to add onto that, that restarting my computer did nothing. I'm assuming now that it is a codec clash.

I've been testing a few different things this morning.

1) Some files will play fine normally, but as soon as I double click them to make them full screen, the video channel dissapears

2) If I open a video file while just the desktop is showing, it will play, but as soon as I open another window (maximize) the video dissapears.

3) The exact opposite of this also happens, in if I open a video file with windows maximized, it will play, but if I show desktop, it dissapears.

- Uninstalled K-Lite codec pack
- Installed AMVapps
- Installed CCCP

From what I can tell, it looks to be a clash in the codecs between CCCP and AMVapps, although I have no idea which codecs are clashing, since I already disabled XviD, DivX and mpeg2

Also, here are a few screendumps of my configuration in FFDShow Video Decoder

did you disable avi support from the CCCP settings (not the ffdshow settings)?

Probably not, since I don't know how to do that.

Would it fix that problem though? Of MPC screwing itself?

that just might fix your problems, I've never experienced that specific problem, so I couldn't say for sure

Hmm ok, um... how do I do that? (sorry for my stupidity)

Also, would the codec clash also affect MPC randomly closing. I noticed when playing MKV files, it seems to just randomly have an error occur and then close (which didn't happen before)

Hmm well I’m just gonna go ahead and be SUPER safe, so that I don’t screw something up (again)

Here are the screendumps:

What to do?

Also, I’m wondering if I got my FFDShow Video Decoder Configuration correct (see previous screendumps), like, are all the settings right?

I'm just curious, but why don't I enable AVI when MKV, MP4 and OGM are all enabled?

Also, what does Re-Registering Filters do?

Can anyone else offer some insight into this? I kinda hate just shoving it onto one person :/
