unable to do 2ndpass with Xvid compression

Postby Jasta85 » Sun Sep 23, 2007 8:14 pm

im following this guide for Xvid compression,
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/avtech/xvid.html
and it has worked for me before it's just that i just got a new computer so this is the first time im trying to use it with it.
when i try and save the 2nd pass i get these messages
"Statsfile not found"
and then
"Cannot start video compression
the operation is not supported
(error code-1)"

i tried reinstalling AMVapp but the same thing comes up.

Hehe,I had that kind of problem few months ago lol ^^

At first, you need to choose 'Twopass : 1st pass' - then it'll create statsfile. After first pass is finished, select 'Twopass : 2nd pass' - select bitrate, and wait for it to finish.

That's how it's done :)

i did that but it pops up with the same message, do you have to select a certain range of target bit rate or size for it to work?

You have to select .pass file :

'Twopass : 2nd pass' - when selected that, push the button 'more...' that appears next to Twopass. The 'video.pass' file should be in the folder where you saved your vid. Select that file as first pass file and it's done.

Fixed.
