Using Scripts

Postby Slywolf15 » Fri Sep 21, 2007 11:54 am

Alright so i'm very new to using avisynth. I just started using it this week. Anyway I have an avisynth script function called mftoon. I don't know how to import or use it at all. So any help would be appreciated.

Would the correct line of code to import mftoon be,
Import("Location of mfToon-v0.52.avs")?

Yes, but an even better way to do things is to change the mfToon script file's extension to .AVSI and put it in your AVISynth plugins folder. That way it will auto-load.

Alright well I put in the script correctly I think. But I don't see any changes. Did I do something wrong? Thanks for putting up with my inexperience with this program lol.

The line should be:
mfToon(strength<b>=</b>255).

Alright so I tried using save and load as an avi while in the script editor and it crashed on me. Now when I try and open up my avs file in vdub it says something like an error with line 8 which I know is mfToon. What is the deal?

As an aside, what number are they up to in the Bleach R2 DVD releases?

Ok I got past my previous error by using import since mftoon seemed to not autoload. Now it wion't open because of an error which says,"The scripts return value was not a video clip." The only script change from my previous post is the import line instead of mftoon on line 8. Also Basher I don't know myself either. :)

Any import lines should go at the beginning of the script; why did you replace the mfToon line with one?

Well, I ask because you're doing stuff to the video that only needs to be done with a DVD (like Telecide and Decimate) and that looks like a more recent episode so I figure you must have a higher number R2 release...

Because I kept having errors since it seemed to not autoload. Even though the avsi file is in the plugins folder.
