Frame rate problems.

I'm having trouble ripping footage from Ghost in the shell SAC disc. The footage plays to fast when I rip it. I'm using DVD decrypter and I have read the guides to all things audio and video. The problem I'm having happens when I play the footage in DGIndex. It tells me that it's NTSC 29.97 frame rate but in the frames per second area it play at 70 to 110 FPS. i don't know if I'm ripping this wrong or what. I've never worked from dvd footage before so any help would be appreciated.

There may be nothing wrong with your rip. Try playing the video in some other player and see if does the same.

DGIndex playback isn't like playback in a media player, there is nothing wrong with your video.
you can actually change the speed of the preview in one of the menus at the top (options, playback speed)

Plays normal In Nero show time. So does that mean it's a problem with DGIndex? If so how can I fix it or whats another way of using the .vob in premier?

that's not playback speed, that's process priority (so if you have 2 programs running, dgindex will execute its stuff before the other program if you set it to high)

try looking in the other menus up there

I'm still not finding any option for playback speed. But thats getting off topic any way. So you think I should be fine then? Can I just go along with the rest of the process using DGIndex and AVIsynth to import the footage to premier? oh btw thanks for the lighting quick responses. You guys/girls rock.

It's not a problem, because DGIndex was never meant to play back the video in realtime. The preview is just for checking the statistics really.

So yes, you can keep going ahead with the rest of the process and everything should be fine when you get to the editing stage.

Wow, you must be using an old version of DGIndex if that is the only option you have in the "Options" drop down menu. I highly suggest getting the latest version. Also when you do get the latest version, you'll want to re-index your files. And don't do this while your in the middle of a project. Only do major changes during pre-production.

DGIndex

P.S. Love the screenshot. I'm sure Adobe would too .

I guess so. I just DL the AMVapp and thats the version it had. Is there another more recent version around(AMVapp)? Oh and the screenshot is from losing a bunch of stuff while I was moving.
