SamuraiX PAL - Deinterlacing

Postby Saiyan Legend » Sat Aug 18, 2007 10:48 pm

Is there anyone that has experience with cleaning up Samurai X? I've ripped some PAL DVDs that I'm trying to clean up for Premiere through avisynth, but I can't seem to get it to look right. Maybe I'm missing something somewhere.

I tried FieldDeinterlace which seemed to take care of the interlacing but the really dark scenes started to look pretty bad. Tried some other filters which didn't seem to get rid of the blockiness in them.

Tried Telecide and various settings, but telecide made some scenes really jerky, mostly scenes where the camera is panning.

Was just wondering if anyone had any tips on deinterlacing/cleaning this thing up since I can't seem to get it quite right.

Sorry if this is a nub question or if it's covered somewhere else already...

Here's some Sharpening scripts,Smoothing scripts,Smoothing scripts, and Exotic scripts,i beleive alot of these can clean it up quite a bit

..and if your looking for a really powerful one what shapens, and cleans up the quality, try:

Code: Select all
mftoon(strength=128)

by changing the number after the equal sign detemands the strength of it,it can go up to 255..
