MPEG2 using WMM2 and Ulead, GET ME OUT OF THIS BOX!

Postby Adv1sor » Sat Jul 14, 2007 10:31 pm

I use VDUBMOD to change vobs into usable files, then use WMM2 to make clips.

I finish the AMV in ULEAD.

When I save to MPEG 2 I end up with a box that never fills the screen.

How can I get my finished AMV out of Ulead in MPEG2 and not be in this box?

Don't bother -- save it from Ulead as a lossless AVI and then compress it to MPEG-2 with something else.

That's about all I can say without knowing what your settings are for resolution, aspect ratio, etc.

Thanks Scintilla.

Any recommended programs to compress the AVI to MPEG-2?

Most people around here seem to like TMPGEnc, which comes with a 30-day free trial for MPEG-2 functionality (after that, it'll only encode MPEG-1 unless you register).

Or play with your registry values - which (afaik) isn't illegal.
