Ripping on *some* of the video

A friend of mine wants me to rip a copy of a DVD, but only the main movie. He has kids and doesn't want them to see certain parts that's in the DVD extras due to it being bad content. How do I go about excluding part of the DVD during the burning process?
"I traveled all of them as I pleased. I walked worlds of smoke and half-truths, intangible. Worlds of torment and of unnamable beauty. Opaline towers as high as small moons. Glaciers that rippled with insensate lust. And one world with nothing but shrimp. I tired of that one quickly." Illyria-Angel the TV Series

Your DVD ripper should have a mode that allows you to rip only the chapters you choose out of the program chains you choose (Movie mode in SmartRipper, IFO mode in DVD Decrypter, etc.). Stick to the program chain that contains the main movie and all should be good.
