Loading more than one video with one script, possible?

Okay, I've been looking for a solution around google and such for awhile now. I give up. Is there a way to load more than one video within just one avs script? The reason being that I am editing a longer series (normally I work with 26 or less episodes, this one is over 60) and loading 60 avs scripts into Premiere Pro is crashing my system everytime. I tried killing the audio and it's not helping. I'm running a 3.0 processor with a gig of memory and it just cannot take it. I've seen something about fake .avi files, but I'm not sure if that's a possibility or not, especially when I'm using dvd footage. Thanks for any help.
