MAN YOU'RE A JERK BIG TIME. I ALWAYS WRITE IN CAPS, AND BY THE WAY I'VE LOOKED ALL OVER THE FORUMS AND ON THE WEB TO TRY AND RIP THE GAME WHICH EVERYTIME I DO FIND SOMETHING IT'S A DEAD END! SO YOU GOT SOMETHING ELSE TO SAY. I'M A NICE PERSON UNTIL SOMEONE SAYS SOME RUDE STUFF.

That's precisely the problem. See rule #10.

But, anyways, back on the subject: If you can't find a specific tool for ripping the FMVs yourself, then there's two alternatives:

1) Use a capture card. If you can afford one, it beats the hell out of having to figure out a different method for ripping every game you want to use.

2) Try finding the FMVs for download on the internet. It's against the site policy for me to link you to a website hosting them, but they're not hard to find via Google or AltaVista or whatever search engine you prefer. Hell, you can even get them from You Tube. They will look ugly, however, so I advise against it.

BTW, you should use question marks when asking a question. "SO YOU GOT SOMETHING ELSE TO SAY." means nothing.

ok fine I won't write in caps anymore. But yeah I'm pretty much broke, I lost my job a while back cause it was temporary and it's been hard to find another one. I'm also against downloading videos from websites because when I go to make a AMV the video looks all sucky and I only like to have videos that I extract.

does that argument of caps have anything to do with the question he asked?

No, it doesn't.

The best way to teach forum etiquette is by public censure - that way the lesson sticks in there.

And it serves as an example for other people.

"What you (or anyone else) don't want" isn't the same as "what shouldn't be said in a public environment". Sure, people can be annoying in many ways, but that doesn't make them wrong, whereas sometimes they can be wrong even when they make a right point, because they made it in a rude manner. For example, I was right to call Nite-shade on writing in caps, but wrong to do that in caps and agressively like I did the first time. Conversely, saying "your mother is a female canine of poor breeding" instead of "you son of a bitch" is still wrong, but not at all rude (that is argueable, though).

there are more ways to extract the videos other than the post that Gepetto wrote:

1) Use a capture card. If you can afford one, it beats the hell out of having to figure out a different method for ripping every game you want to use.

2) Try finding the FMVs for download on the internet. You can get them from You Tube. They will look ugly, however, so I advise against it.

Hex editing is the only thing that comes to mind other than capturing or dowloading.

So if you desperatly want those FMVs i suggest you learn and extract the videos off using an hex editior.

The easiest way to do this is to try and find the beginning and end offset points and extract it using a hex editor then demux it using PSS_demux. Ive managed to rip FFX-2 and FFXII AUS/UK/NZ using this method so i predict it will also work for Dirge of Cerberus.
