ok, so I'm working with dvd footage

I have the vob file, and am working from a guide. I'm supposed to load the vob into DGIndex. When I go to preview, the film type switches (really fast) between progressive and interlaced. Like machine gun fast. And the preview goes by really fast...

so, is that normal?
Did I rip the dvd wrong?

Help?

there should be an option in dgindex somewhere that affects the playback speed.
and switching between progressive and interlaced sounds normal. some sections may be (or appear to be) progressive while others are interlaced. I believe that dgindex keeps a running tally of the footage type. It should settle down the further you get into indexing.

if it doesn't, just keep pushing through the process. Chances are that it won't matter too much down the line
