Green and Pink Blocks

Postby Star Saver » Mon May 28, 2007 10:34 am

Alright, I have just recently begun making my first AMV and I after I rip the DVD and put it into VirtualDubMod I get a whole bunch of green blocks all over the images.

Here is the order that I am using:
Ripping DVD with DVD Decrypter
Cutting the footage with VirtualDubMod

For some reason, I think that I am missing a step so any help would be appreciated.

You didn't use DGIndex to index the vobs from DVD decrypter?

Is it me or you are dumping vob files directly into virtual dub? You have to parse the vobs with DGIndex first and then work with the avisynth script. I suggest a good reading of the guides before you start editing  And if you are in a big hurry and cannot hold your creativity you can always work side by side with them.

Good Luck!

x2

When this happens, you need to use an alternate ripper. I've never found out exactly why one ripper chokes where another won't, but I've never had two rippers both fail to extract the same vob.

I realize not everyone has a dual-computer set up like me, but I tend to switch off, depending on whether I intended to use Premiere or FCP. As such when MacTheRipper can't get something, DVD Decryptor usually will, and when Decryptor can't get something, MacTheRipper will.
