Is there a way to convert .mkv files to .avi, mpg, mpeg, or wmv.
All i have now is vdub, sony vegas, and wmm if possible can i change format with any of these or do i need something different?

well that depends a little on what A/V is contained within the .mkv, but...

vdub can open just about anything through a directshow avisynth script.

I just made a new thread for how to do that :)
