Compression audio issues w/ Divx

Postby Wolfy2hk » Mon May 21, 2007 8:11 pm

Ok i know how to compress but im having troubles w/ compressing my audio.
In sony Vegas i configure my Divx codec after that i go to audio options and include audio i choose lame mp3 and then when i start rendering i get an error message but when compress with the MPEG Layer-3 it works fine but i dont like using it becuz the audio bitrate only goes up to 56 *which doesnt sound to good to me*, so is there anyone that can help me. this is the error message i get:
An ERROR OCCURED WHILE CREATINGTHE MEDIA FILE .....avi
AN ERROR OCCURED WHILE OPENING A CODEC

I dont really think anythings wrong w/ the divx codec tho

i think its always best to export video seperate from the audio (preferably lossless fomats) and then do all the compressing in vdubmod.

That's because you only have the Frauenhofer MP3 codec. Get LAME.

export from Vegas as uncompressed or lossless, do your compression in Virtualdub instead
