Virtualdub: saving

Postby elbo » Tue Jan 09, 2007 3:48 pm

:?: Firstly, how do I access a saved file that I told virtualdub not to process.Secoundly, once it dose process a file, is there a way to get it played normaly insted of in frames. (you know, how it dose it one at a time) and finaly, if I still set the dvd decriptor to auto in ifo, and it did not save all the video files into one big file, is there a way to join them? I appreciate the help.

By browsing to the folder it was saved in and opening it in whatever program you want.

If your saving files to a lossless format do not expect to be able to play them back in a regular media player unless you happen to have an AMAZING computer. Footage like that is meant to edit with (your editing program will allow you to work with it) not to watch. To watch the footage, you need to encode it in another format that's good for distribution.

You can make an avisynth script to join several files together to one.
Code: Select all
mpeg2source("<filepath><filename>.d2v")+mpeg2source("<filepath><filename>.d2v")+mpeg2source("<filepath><filename>.d2v")+mpeg2source + ...
