Go back to the Parallel ATA Controller as I described in my previous post. Right click on the Parallel ATA Controller listing (Secondary Parallel ATA Controller if it shows up separately) and click Uninstall. Reboot your computer now. When Windows restarts, it will re-install the driver (this may take a while). Then you can go back to the Parallel ATA Controller Properties and select DMA or Ultra DMA transfer mode.
