The footage audio has gone AWOl
I've been following the guide for ripping footage for DVDs, and it's worked up to the VirtualDubMod Section. When I used AviSynth to open the d2v project file in VDMod, the audio had disappeared. How do I retreive the audio?

The D2V file only accesses the video of the VOB, not the audio. To get the audio, you have to set up DVD2AVI/DGIndex to demux the audio when you save the D2V file, as explained here:

(It's going to be a separate file, but DVD2AVI makes it at the same time as it makes the D2V.)
