Listen, I want to make good AMVs, but I can't use the .avi format that all the anime comes in, because I can't get the codec, because I don't have admin privs on this comp. Could anyone help me find [MOD 403: request removed. asking for anime downloads is against the forum rules]or a way to convert to a different format?

There are many ways to convert AVI footage, but all of them that I can think of require that you have the necessary codecs to decode your particular AVIs. If you can't install the codecs (not to mention the other programs) you need, you're pretty much SOOL.

Your best bet is to lobby for admin rights or get whoever does have them to install the software you need.

(EO Video seems to use DirectShow rather than Video for Windows, but even a DS-only codec still has to come from somewhere... and if you can't install a codec, chances are you good you can't install EO Video anyway.)
