Also, I think i made a bit of a discovery... any game that DVD Decrypter doesn't read the name of, doesn't seem to work for this whole process. For FFX-2, it read the name of the disc as FFX2 (or something like that). I've tried this with Kingdom Hearts and Xenosaga, and their disc name never appeared in DVD Decrypter. They also did not work for ripping anything. I did not come across the problem in Xenosaga that we have seen in KH where the program just stops. It merely does not pick up on anything... so i believe we're dealing with multiple encryptions here.

I'm going to try a few more PS2 games to test my theory... i'll get back to you guys ASAP.

Hey i think your theory is right cuz i have tried it on Kingdom Hearts 2 cuz i realy realy want that secret ending but it doesnt show the name, it does find movies and it demultiplexes but with MFaudio it says that the file doesnt contain any audio

I'm having difficulties on Step 3. When I attempt to scan my 3rd and 4th ISO , it stops towards the end with no results. . .

This is the Devil May Cry3 game btw if that helps any.

Thanks in advance to a reply.

Postby Maegan » Fri May 05, 2006 9:50 am

I cannot seem to get the FFX videos u.u;

I have decrypted it successfully.

I have split the files successfully.

When I go to scan in on the encryptor it says there is nothing in the split ISO files. >.<;;

Any help?

for most games i found it easier and more efficient to just do it the hex way since it is more accurate and won't jam like the nova way if you don't split the file right.....actually there is no splitting involved....jus open the iso and look for hex values....the guide specifically shows xenosaga but works with most games that have the movies in pss format

not necessarily make other ppl do your work....i already have the intro and secret ending using my improvise method....just find the vid [most likely gunna be low qual vid] on the net....then extract the audio and line it up with you video content that you ripped...and for the trailer opening i just used the passion instrumental straight off the sound track....

Hey, if you don't mind shitty quality audio go right ahead.

yes i sure do. Get Cubic Media Player 2
you can get The clips from a PS1 and a PS2 Disc all you have to do is:

1. Open Cubic Media Player
2. Click File=Scan Disc=Pick either Playstation or Playstation 2
3. Click Scan
4. And now you should have the FMVs + sound files from that game

(Optional)
5. If you want to multi-plex the audio and video (into one file instead of seperate) just use TMPGEnc Xpress (Trial) or for the free one TMPGEnc 2.1.8.757.4 (A trial too but you can still multi-plex (but in a MPEG 1 than a MPEG 2 format) after the trial has ended.

Hope that helps

P.S. To find Cubic Media Player 2 just click on the url below:

you have to register first to download or you can try to search for a mirror in google

Or you could just save yourself the time and trouble of that and use one of the programs listed and linked in this stickied thread that you would of seen if you actually, you know, looked at the thread titles.
