Why don't you try extracting the .swf files and play it back to see if it works?

Sorry, I haven't tried PS2 ripping with Devil May Cry 3.

So you suggest I use Flash to open it seriously? Hmm, okay I'll go check it out. :)

Never because it only works with FFX-2 right now. :(

I have tried it with a few other ps2 games but all I can really get is the company logo opening stuff.

Bah.

Well, your PSSPlex link is outdated.
See if you can get someone to update your post?

Other than PSSPlex, I prefer PSS_Demux by fao.

First of all, they're japanese- not chinese symbols.

Second of all, I find that question pretty silly. :)

No, that's not what I'm saying.

I found the question somewhat wacked out, as I thought it would be obivous that you need to know a language to understand a language.

However, you've made a good point here that I've lacked to mention:

Babelfish can help translate, although I won't say it always does a good job.
http://babelfish.altavista.com/babelfish/tr
Enter the URL of the page you want to translate(in this case, http://www.project-fao.org/ ) and Choose Japanese to English, and it should translate the page for you. (And from what I've seen, surprisingly pretty well, too.)

I've come across another problem (I've only read through a few pages, I kinda gave up searching after a while  ) but anyway, this sort of goes back to my thread. Using MagicISO, I searched and found about 20 different mpg files on Resident Evil: Code Veronica. When using Nova, I found many more, but when I changed their extensions to .pss and tried using PSS Plex to convert them to M2V, I keep getting a variety of errors, including missing mpeg1 streams and invalid sound files (those aren't the exact error messages, I don't remember what they said precisely), so does this mean I did something wrong or I simply can't convert every single movie file for one reason or another? If you read my other thread, I'm trying to find Steve Burnside fmvs for a vid, but when I scanned on MagicISO I didn't find any.

Mpeg1?
What happens, if say, you play the .mpg file extracted from Nova?

Then the movie file plays normally, but I'm trying to crop parts out for the video so I need to go through the whole process of converting into .pss, .avi, etc.

Thought so. If there is a MPEG1 Stream present in the PS2 disc, the PSS file procedure can be skipped.

Run the .mpg files through avisynth and do all the pre-processing you want.
Cropping: http://www.avisynth.org/Crop
Then, go about from here to what you want to do now: http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/ ... getb3.html

Hmm...I keep finding new problems, sorry for all the questions -_-;.

Ok well, the first time I split the file, I didn't customize it to 1 GB; I did the normal Floppy Disk size and got many files from that. Now, when I scanned all those files, I found A LOT of different mpg files; when I scanned the 2 files I got when I customized it to 1 GB, I didn't get as many mpg files at all.

Going back to when I split the files into Floppy Disk sized pieces, when I tried to play those in Windows Media Player, I got an error message saying it cannot play the file because it doesn't support it or doesn't have the codec available. It's still an mpg though...so what's the problem?
