Kingdom hearts 2 final mix+

Post by Loongy22 » Wed May 16, 2007 8:15 am

I know that ripping the AUDIO from kingdom hearts 2 is impossible at the moment, but does anyone know if ripping the audio(for the final secret FMV) from kingdom hearts 2 final mix+ is possible, and if so how?

Ripping the audio from KH2 and KH2:FM is not impossible. It's very easy actually. All you have to do is run the .pss files into a little application called PSS plex
http://www.zophar.net/utilities/downloa ... x_1.05.zip
Dragging a .pss file into that program will spit out both an m2v file and a .dat file. The .dat file is the audio.

The hard part is making the .dat file usable. '
To sum it up, you have to use a hex editor to put an atrac3 header into the .dat file.

This is an example of what an atrac3 header looks like.

If you use this header, then the next step would be to import the audio file/(newly modified .dat) file into an editing program in order to re-sync the audio back to the video file.

I meant "pss demux". Not "plex". Sorry for the typo.

Hi. I just managed to stumble across this guide, and the only problem I've found so far, is that I can't get but 30 files with the Extractor. It tells me that the version I have is only shareware. *shrugs*

hi there. I've tried using method one, ripping, splitting it and using nova to Rip my Tekken 5 movies, but i cant find any mpg files on the isos. I've also tried using nova on the actual 4 gb initial file but still no use. Anyone knows how i can rip these movies?

also, Grandia III movies seem to be on a folder "movies" on *.mov file format, but i cant watch them. Any ideas on this.

please help

thanks.

Tekken 5's fmv's are hidden pretty well. In other words, absolutely none of the tutorials or guides on this site will be of any use to you. And sorry, but I don't know how to rip them either.

Grandia 3's fmv's can be loaded into DGIndex and VirtualdubMod. Despite the misleading extension, it's movie files are still in mpeg2/.m2v format.
My next biggest project to come...
