I have only a 256 SSD and a 1TB external and over 15 complete collections of anime. I think i need more space :shock:

ALSO! Can anyone tell me what settings i should use for MPEGStreamclip? Should i keep with mp4 or just use mov?
Almost as hard as fighting a Holy Paladin.

I'm not very knowledgeble about preferred editing formats on OS X. You might want to check out the guides in the Mac section or just open a thread and ask there; this isn't the place to be asking this anyway, it is quite off topic, actually.

Would that compress my AVIs to smaller than 10GB each? If not, then i'll just stick with getting more storage space...

It's about the same (compresses somewhat more than huffyuv and somewhat less than lagarith), but it's meant to be much faster and thus better for editing more than anything, but on OSX it isn't optimized yet so at the current state it's Slow As F**k.

Actually if you use it via Perian instead of QTC directly, it should be significantly faster, assuming your Perian build has the new threading stuff (which I am assuming has been committed). Optimisation is currently underway upstream tho, and I have a bit of asm written somewhere.

Huffy is always gonna be shit for compression tho, if you wan't better, then use a better codec. Should be able to do FFV1 in OSX.
