VirtualDubMod Directshowsource error?

For some reason, VirtualDubMod won't open up AVS files using Directshowsource. I keep getting this error message:

Avisynth open failure: Directshowsource: could not open as video or audio.
Video returned: "Directshowsource couldn't open file. G:/Footage... etc., etc.

The only other thing that's in my script is bicubicresize.

Does anybody have any ideas? I would very much appreciate the help.

Is there a chance this might be a compatibility issue with Windows 7? (I'm trying to get things set up on my new computer.)

Shouldn't be a compatibility issue because I have Windows 7 and I can open files with DSS no problem. What format are your files? Also check at you have the DirectShowSource.dll in your avisynth plugins folder.

Stop using outdated software and you'll fix your problem. I am willing to put money on it being vdubmod and not dss that's the problem, but you should probably switch to FFMS2 as well.
