Bump that UTVideo 11 is out, now with a full encoder for OSX. Supports the usual RGB/RGBA and can convert to/from 8bit limited range planar formats. ASM works although is only 32bit, still significantly faster. Now supports both MOV and AVI as well, so should play nicer with some NLEs that ignore AVI files.
For linux users I guess it's worth pointing out that it now compiles on *nix as well and can be built into libav/ffmpeg either as libutvideo for both encoding and decoding, or by using kshishkov's native C decoder. This does imply it can be built into FFMS2 on avisynth if you want to do it that way.
