Zarx264 not working very well

Postby Lord Rae » Fri Sep 24, 2010 2:47 pm

Or at all at the moment. I've gotten several different errors. All of which I am sure are my fault cause I'm really bad at this side of editing.

I've fallen especially far out of the technical realm in the last few years. I'm about as basic as you can come with my avs scripts so when Zarx gave me an error trying to open my script I switched to just trying to load the uncompressed avi that I exported straight from Adobe.

Unfortunetly I got this error.
Script Error: there is no function named "DirectShowSource"

I apologize in advance for my newbness with this. I've been making videos videos for over a decade but unfortunetly I haven't kept up with the times very well.

Any information I can throw your way to help you help me will be given. I've tried searching but I haven't come up with much. I'm gonna keep trying though while I wait for an answer. If I find it before a response I'll update this post.

So sorry... hit enter and it posted rather than giving me room to post some relevant technical info.

I'm using Windows XP. Edited the video with Adobe Premiere CS3.

Computer is a Dell Precision 690 with 2 dual core Xeon 1.86MHZ processors and 4 gigs of ram.

Hmm... updated to the most available service packs and I have used Zarx on here before although it was an older version. I tried both the version I had on here and the newest version of it that I just downloaded and they both give me the same error.

Let me know what else I can add.

(Re)Install avisynth 2.5.8, and make sure you have directshowsource.dll in your "C:\Program Files\Avisynth 2.5\plugins" folder.

It shouldn't matter where Zarx is installed correct?

Yes, it doesnt matter. That is an avisynth error message, so avisynth is what is broken.
