Virtual Dub- variable LoadPlugin not found - error

Postby animefreak00007 » Thu Jun 24, 2010 10:05 pm

Alright, I've checked and re-checked the script I wrote in AVIsynth, and according to the tutorial I'm following "VicBond007's Guide to Working with DVD Footage for Use in Anime Music Videos" the script is right but I keep getting this error, when I try to load the script in Virtual Dud:

Here is the script I made for virtual Dub using AVIsynth

I have no clue what the problem is. For all I know I installed one of the programs or plugins wrong. So if someone knows how to fix this you'd be awesome.
Thanks in advance.

You shouldn't be needing the loadplugin lines (although using them shouldn't give you any error). And the mpeg2source line is wrong, all the parameters you put after the closing bracket should go inside of it.
EDIT: As an addendum, VicBond's guide is extremely outdated and you should refer to the avtech3 instead. It's still far from a perfect guide, but it's possibly one of the better starting point guides around on the internet, and surely more than enough for the average amver needs. :)

DON'T select "Run script" to load an AVISynth script -- it looks like that's your problem. VirtualDub scripts are in a different format from AVISynth scripts.

Just use "Open video file" (Ctrl+O) instead. Make sure your script file has the extension .avs (from your Notepad screenshot, it looks like it might have the wrong extension, or else you have known file extensions hidden), or it won't work.

The avtech3 guide is working well for me, I got my clips into Virtual Dub today, so hopefully I just keep rolling through the guide, and will be able to remake my older amv's with the interlace in them. Thanks for your help.
