Hey.
NDW.
I just saw your "Losing Close Friends" Trigun Mvid. It is yours, right? ShipPagan tells me so.

Both of us have the same opinion. Its watchable. But its nothing special. He says my "Nothing Else Matters" Eva Mvid (2.5 hours for a six minute song, remember?) IS better. Yours has potential. Ill giv u a tip. Every time u think of a song u wanna do a vid to, write it down. Then dedicate a day where you sit and think of exactly what anime to use, and plan it out exactly in your head. Thattl cut your production time down by more than half.

Thats how i did 6 minutes of Eva to Nothing Else Matters in 2.5 hours. That was the culmination of nearly A MONTHS worth of thinking. 8 hours a day for 28 days equals alot more than 80hrs, which is apparently what u are supposed to spend on a 3 minute vid. Storyboarding, man. It works wonders.

BTW, did u use Windows Movie Maker or Premiere to make "Losing Close Friends"?

He may be 11, but NDW is a fucking asshole himself! And there IS such a thing called "e-mail". Try it sometime! This is spam, or you could have just left an opinion on his vid.

Okay.

First off, you should have PMed me.

Second, yes, it is my video. Once I finish "Deluxe Bebop - Remastered" I'm going to work on "Losing Close Friends - Remastered". I don't storyboard it, contrary to what other people do. I make the video as it goes along.

Also, I used Premiere. If I can figure out how the fook to get HuffYUV onto Linux, I may do the remastered version on Linux in Cinelerra.

I never storyboard my vids either. I never seem to have a problem coming up with ideas and I just let them inspire me. I build up the key parts and then take time to plan the rest by watching what I have and going over what I want to say until I am satisfied with the idea enough to complete.

I never do any special work I don't have to. Unless I'm really bored and my only other option is to watch westerns with my dad. And I've only decided to "remaster" on of my vids, cause my stupid friend kept telling me that my timing was off in one part :?

It depends. If I'm going for lyric synch, I do a rough storyboard to figure out which clips I want to use for which lines. For a straight action or emotion video, I just go with the flow, because then I get that wonderful spontaneous editing that just...I dunno...fits
