Looking for CG Anime

Postby LittleAtari » Sat Jun 27, 2009 2:08 am

I was just looking around for CG anime because I like the look of beautiful CG. I know I can get CG footage from games, but was wondering what else is available.

Also, please let me know if it's available in HD.

If you know any non-anime sources (not the Pixar look), feel free to recommend them.

If i understood well, one (semi-to-not at all :D ) anime that you're looking for is Resident Evil Degeneration... It's out on Blu-ray too.

Aside from the Final Fantasy movies, there's Vexille, Appleseed (and Appleseed ex:MACHINA), Gregory Horror Show, SD Gundam Force, and The Final Flight of the Osiris (from The Animatrix). There are also CG portions in Vandread, Duel Masters, Karas, and (I think) Stellvia.

Do you consider stuff with traditional (2D) characters but 3D background and cel-shaded (faux-2D) animation also CG, or are you looking for fully 3D-looking stuff specifically?

Also, Usavich

Oh man, how could I forget Yotsuba&? That show is amazing, and I'm sure it's available in HD.

The fourth "episode" of amazing nuts has pretty nice CG, though it reminds me more of Tim Burton than FF.
